NYC-DSA at the 5 Years After Sandy March

  • Cadman Plaza Cadman Plaza North Brooklyn, NY, 11201 United States (map)

Event description from the Facebook event:

On the 5th anniversary of Superstorm Sandy, New Yorkers will march together to remember the lives lost and the damage incurred from Sandy. We will march to demand bold climate action from Mayor de Blasio, Governor Cuomo, and Senator Schumer.

Our elected officials must protect New Yorkers from climate change and mitigate its impacts – especially on already overburdened communities. New Yorkers cannot wait any longer. We march for climate, jobs, and justice.

Join us in Cadman Plaza Park in Brooklyn (North Plaza) on October 28. We will assemble at the intersection of Pineapple Walk & Cadman Plaza West at 10:30am before marching over the Brooklyn Bridge and then rallying at the Smith NYCHA Houses, which were heavily affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Route to be updated here & website coming soon. Invite your friends & communities!
