Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has grown explosively since the presidential election. This is, however, just the most recent upsurge of a movement that has deep historical roots. On May 12th and 13th, NYC-DSA will host a Socialist Day School that will investigate the influence these historical movements have on our current moment and what lessons we can learn as activists and organizers fighting for socialism today.

Important notes: This is a two-part event! Friday night's discussion with Frances Fox Piven on the 1930s is happening on Friday, May 12th at the YWCA of Brooklyn from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. The rest of the event will take place on Saturday, May 13th at the St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf from 10:00am - 4:00pm.
