Join the NYC DSA Ecosocialist WG for an easy hike/walk through Brooklyn's largest park: the Marine Park salt marsh, one of the few remaining preserves of liminal wetland space in NYC. Salt marshes and wetlands are diverse ecosystems, supporting hundreds of species of birds and fish; they are protective against storm surges but also uniquely climate-vulnerable. The nature trails are flat and an easy walk, though most are unpaved (so not wheelchair accessible or stroller-friendly). Bring snacks and water. We'll reschedule in the event of inclement weather.
ADA Accessibility: The location is not ADA accessible, although there are some paved trails within the preserve.
