Everyday Antifascism: History and Practice

  • Church of the Redeemer 30-18 Crescent Street Astoria, NY, 11102 United States (map)

For security reasons, please RSVP to everydayantifascism@protonmail.com with your name, pronouns and political organization. Security will be provided by the DSA Red Rabbits.

What is fascism and how can antifascism be practiced in everyday life? Please join Queens DSA Political Education and Outlive Them NYC for a hands-on workshop on how to apply everyday antifascism in your community. Learn different traditions and strategies from groups that practice antifascism including Red Bloom, a Communist Collective, Metropolitan Anarchist Coordinating Council (MACC), Boston DSA and the NYC DSA Socialist Feminists in a panel discussion. Following this discussion, two interactive workshops facilitated by Outlive Them-NYC and MACC will provide a history and definition of antifascism, as well as the skills needed to spot and confront fascists in everyday life. Fascism cannot be negotiated, only confronted and defeated. Please come and learn the skill needed for every day anti-fascism.

The event is ADA accessible.
