Public Banking and Housing Justice

  • UAW Region 9A Office 256 West 38th Street, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10018 (map)

Come join us as we will discuss the intersection between our Public Banking and Housing Justice For All campaigns. There will be speakers from both campaigns, as well as journalist Oksana Mironova who has written about the importance of Community Land Trusts (CLTs) in supporting a more just solution to housing issues. We will also talk about the recent Right to Counsel report on how certain banks (including some of the "designated banks" that NYC banks with) have been financing some of NYC's worst evictors, and how finance has exacerbated New York's housing problems.
